My childhood was wonderfully impacted by numerous epic fantasy books, such as C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia, Terry Brooks’ Shannara series, Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders of Pern series, and of course, J.R.R. Tolkien’s tales of Middle-earth, to name just a few.  Stories of hobbits, dragons, elves, and the ever-worsening villains who plagued them, enchanted my imagination, delivering hours of entertainment and countless daydreams wherein I was drawn into these worlds, living and breathing the tales as if they were true to life.  This is the type of experience I hope to deliver to a new generation of fantasy readers with my Silvenfare series. 

I began writing Celestina Silvenfare Book One: The Legend Begins © in July of 2008.  It started with the inspiration for the main character, Celestina, and then the rest of the cast and story fell into place.  The writing process has been challenging, daunting, scary, and at times completely overwhelming, but it has also proven to be the most rewarding experience of my professional and creative career.
